Goals for Atlanta Hawks wing Cam Reddish No. 2) Consistent 3-point shooting

One key to Reddish garnering more court time is his 3-point shooting. At the start of the season, prior to Bogdan Bogdanovic’s fractured kneecap, Reddish actually lost his starting role to the sharp-shooting Serbian due to his own shooting slump.

The thing is, Bogdanovic, Reddish, and Danilo Gallinari all shot at a level that is below what they are capable of when Lloyd Pierce was in charge. Under Nate McMillan Bogdanovic and Gallinari were in the top echelon of shooters in the league.

However, it must be stressed that Reddish needs to work on his decision-making and his penetration into the lane. He is still a little too uncontrolled on his drives meaning that he is able to be stopped by good help defense. This means that teams can defend Reddish closer to the arc, making it a little harder to make his 3-point shots.

This will put a good level of pressure on the rest of the wings on the squad, hopefully meaning that the Hawks can start the season shooting well. This is the key to any good franchise, your superstars are always going to perform but if the next level down is putting pressure to get playing time with their game, then the team will win more than it loses.
