Atlanta Hawks improvements for De’Andre Hunter No. 3) Efficiency

Hunter’s main focus for this team will be defense because he is guarding the best player offensive player on most nights. Then also will the offensive firepower of the Hawks, he won’t be asked on a nightly basis to score a ton either.

The thing for Hunter is to be efficient when he does become offensively aggressive. He shot 48.4% from the field this season which was up from 41.8 percent his rookie season. Hunter should aim to remind around the 50 percent number.

Hunter can be the most efficient out of all the Hawks this season. That will allow him to be much more effective and impactful. He doesn’t have to get up tons of shots because that isn’t his role on the team.

His role is to play great defense and also when needed, score the ball. He may have nights where he has to be the leading scorer if he is feeling it that night. He has a good mid-range and he can get into the paint when he wants.

Then adding a more effective 3-point shot will round out his offensive game, which greatly benefits the Hawks. Hunter puts in the work and is also playing to get a big deal for when his contract talks do come up. Last year Solomon Hill said Hunter was key in why he believed they could make it to the finals. This year we get to see if Hunter stays healthy if that indeed does happen.
