The Bogdan Bogdanovic news will be most welcome for the Atlanta Hawks
The Atlanta Hawks released some really good news in that Bogdan Bogdanovic has progressed to individual workouts. This is a tremendous update for the Hawks as they have really missed the floor spacing and hard work that Bogdanovic brings on a nightly basis.
Bogdanovic sprained his ankle against the New York Knicks and has not played since. From then, the Hawks have gone 2-5 which is understandable given that the Hawks have been down two starters, a key reserve, and one of their bench leaders in Solomon Hill.
This has meant that Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot has had to step into the starting lineup and this is less than an ideal proposition. While he started to look comfortable with the Hawks, he is not a starter in this league and this has put tremendous pressure on the rest of the first five for the Hawks.
The Atlanta Hawks are need to get some troops back.
Bogdanovic’s status is going to be updated as news comes to hand. However, the fact that he is progressing in his recovery is encouraging. The Hawks have three games at home in the next four with the away game being against the Orlando Magic.
if they can win at least two of these and then get Bogdanovic back then this will help over the next rough stretch of games. After this stretch of home games the Hawks playeight of their next nine games away from home, ten of their next 11 if you count the back-to-back games against the Miami Heat.
The other good news for the Hawks is that they will be expecting Onyeka Okongwu back shortly. He played a very good 24 minutes for the College Park Skyhawks in a return which was much earlier than expected from injury. He then missed the next game due to the death of his father, we all wish him well through this tough time and hope to see him back on court very soon.
