The Atlanta Hawks could take a flier on two younger players
If the Knicks really want Reddish they are going to have to want to entice the Hawks. They are going to try and get out of the trade in the best position. The Hawks are going to want some young talent that benefits the team and gets them back into a better position in the Eastern Conference playoff race.
Again, Reddish is the center point of the trade because the Knicks want him. Dieng is again used to make the salaries work. He is also a point of difference at the center position as both Nerlens Noel and Mitchell Robinson have an extremely limited range in their shooting.
The best part of this trade for the Hawks is the second-year point guard Immanuel Quickley. The sophomore is still getting decent minutes due to Derrick Rose recovering from surgery. The Hawks could look to make several potential trades, including some in the Eastern Conference, but Quickley could be the answer to this question.
Kevin Knox could also help the Hawks given that he can shoot the 3-ball. Despite receiving limited minutes since his rookie season, Knox has been able to shoot the 3-ball at 34.6 percent for his career. It is also the final season of his contract so the Hawks lose nothing if he does not work out.
