The most unlikely trade idea for the Atlanta Hawks

The Hawks may be looking for a major roster reset. As such, they may look to trade Reddish, Dieng, and Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot to the Knicks. Given that the Knicks are the team expressing interest in Reddish, maybe the Hawks could prise some good young talent in the trade.

Quickley is again the key piece of this trade. His play at the backup position is going to be crucial for the Hawks However, while that is the biggest issue for the Hawks at the moment, it is not the only issue and Obi Toppin is going to help them in so many other ways.

Toppin is a high-energy forward who places pressure on the opposition with his octane offense, with his pressuring on the defensive end. He is only in the second year of his career but is already showing the potential to be a solid rotation piece for a playoff team.

Lastly, the Hawks would get the 25th pick in the 2021 NBA draft, Quentin Grimes. The 21-year-old shooting guard has played 23 games for the Knicks and has shown the starting of a promising career. The Hawks need to start playing their rookies more and that will be the case with Grimes. The roster reset will hopefully help the Hawks realize this.
