The Atlanta Hawks have had a really bad run recently. They have lost their last ten home games which is the second-worst streak in their history. The worst period was during the 2004-05 season where they lost 11 straight at home.

The good news for the Hawks this season is that they are not going through the pain of that season. In the last 36 games of that season, the Hawks went 4-of-32 which led to them having a 13-69 record on the season which meant that they had the worst record in the league.

Fortunately for the Hawks, they are already past the 13 win mark and they should not get the worst record in the league. Given that this slump is ongoing, there is no way to tell when it is going to end. The Hawks need to make a number of adjustments if they are going to break out of this current malaise.

What do the Atlanta Hawks need to do to stop this losing streak?

There are a number of things that the Hawks need to do to stop the losing skid at 10. They are taking on the defending NBA champions the Milwaukee Bucks in the next game and this means that they need to start playing much better defense. Fortunately, they have Onyeka Okongwu who is the Giannis Antetokounmpo whisperer.

They also need to play in a better-defined system like they did last season. Every player needs to buy into their role, especially when they are going to be missing two starters, Clint Capela and Bogdan Bogdanovic. While this places immense pressure on the rest of the squad, they showed tremendous resilience last season, they need to channel that.

dark. Next. The Hawks desperately need another scoring option

Another key to winning will be to play the full 48 minutes. They cannot afford to have last quarter fadeouts, nor can they afford to let the Bucks get a big lead. If they can do this then they are a good chance of stopping this skid at 10 games, not equalling 2005.
