Then there are the less-than-desired pieces for the Atlanta Hawks

Of this group let’s first look at Milton. The 6’5″ point guard managed to average 8.2 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in 21.4  minutes per game. While his $1.9 million team option would be desirable, his floor spacing is not. Milton went 32.3 percent from beyond the arc this season.

Korkmaz has two seasons left on his deal, worth $5,0 million next season and then $5.3 million in the final season of his deal. As a 6’7″ shooting guard, Korkmaz does not move the needle at all. The Hawks currently have Bogdan Bogdanovic, Kevin Huerter, and De’Andre Hunter to play that position and Korkmaz does not come close to these players on any level.

The other player who is available for trade that the Hawks should not be that interested in is Harris. The forward is due just under $80.0 million over the next two years of his deal. Given how the Hawks are salary cap-strapped, they would need to give up too much to land Harris.

While Harris is a good second or third option, he is not worth giving up John Collins plus another core piece for. His production has been based on being open thanks to the opposition having to double team Joel Embiid. He is not going to have the same space on any other team in the league.
