Why do the Utah Jazz make this trade with the Atlanta Hawks?.

The Jazz is a team who is playing next season with an eye on the future. As soon as they sent Gobert to the Minnesota Timberwolves for a haul, they started the move towards the end of this particular era for the team.

Mitchell is signed for another four seasons and if the Jazz truly believes they cannot win it all with him in the fold then this contract becomes a millstone.
