The Atlanta Hawks have spent the entirety of the offseason so far retooling their roster around their superstar Trae Young. The addition of Dejounte Murray is going to have an incredible impact on this team. Young is incredibly excited to have Murray join the Hawks.

Together this backcourt combination is going to take the NBA by storm, given that they are already showing some tremendous chemistry in the Crawsover Pro-Am. While a Pro-Am is not enough competition to get excited about, it is showing what the combination is capable of.

It is going to take some work by Young for him to be able to take his game to the next level. Having another elite ball-handler and distributor is going to help unlock parts of Young’s game that we have not had the opportunity to see before. Yes, The All-NBA version of Trae Young is about to get even better.

Young has shown that his shooting range is unrivaled and the Hawks need to take advantage of this. The Miami Heat series showed that the Hawks needed Young to be free to come off screens in order to shoot the long ball a whole lot more. Stopping his penetration meant that the Hawks’ offense also spluttered along.

Fortunately, with the addition of the Hawks’ offseason acquisitions, Young is going to have the ability to imprint his mark on games. Without the ability of other teams to double on him defensively, Young is going to show that his game is about to go nuclear and the Hawks will benefit.
