Goals for Atlanta Hawks superstar Trae Young No. 3) Be named to the All-NBA Second Team or higher.
The Hawks superstar finally got some of the recognition that he deserved from the NBA media when he was named to the All-NBA Third team this season. This meant that the superstar was eligible for all of the money coming to him as a result of the selection.
The joy for the Hawks and their point guard is that with Murray on the team, Young is going to go to the next level. This means that if the media votes the way that they did last season, then Young should be a shoo-in for the third team again.
However, if the Hawks are going to be as good as we believe that they are and they are as exciting to watch then the media should vote him to a higher honor. I mean, Ja Morant was voted to the second team and he missed almost a quarter of the season.
If the Hawks are able to gel as a unit, they may have a number of potential award winners. Murray could be All-Defensive, lead the league in steals, and be a second-time All-Star. John Collins could become a first-time All-Star and Clint Capela will be at the top of the league in rebounds and blocks.
Without another All-NBA nod for Young, it might all go to waste as the team will not be as successful as needed.
