Now that we have had a look at the month-by-month schedule for the Atlanta Hawks, it is time to take a look at the road trips that they have this season. They have five road trips where they are on the road for more than four games, including one with a home game stuck in the middle.

The first trip starts in October, in just the fourth game of the season. They travel to the Motor City to take on Detroit Pistons, playing them twice in three days. This is an interesting battle and the Pistons have added some quality veterans and could be a tough team to beat, even without the Hawks nemesis, Jerami Grant.

However, the Hawks cannot spend all their energy on these two games. The night after the second Pistons game they take on the Milwaukee Bucks in their first back-to-back of the season. This will be the Hawks’ greatest test in the month of October.

The Atlanta Hawks have two tough games to round out their first road trip.

The fourth game on the road trip will be against the Toronto Raptors, a team that found their form towards the end of the last regular season. With Scottie Barnes improving over the offseason, Pascal Siakam coming back to his best, and Fred VanVleet still being a problem, this is a tough game.

The final game of the trip is against their rivals the New York Knicks. While this is potentially the easiest game of the road trip, given how the Knicks have not added enough to compete in the strong Eastern Conference it is not an easy game. This is the end of the trip and the Knicks have a grudge from two seasons ago. While October is a relatively easy month for the Hawks, it relies on them winning two or three of these games.
