Looking at the Atlanta Hawks’ fourth long road trip for the season.

Like the start of the month of January, the Hawks finish the month by heading on a Western Conference road trip. This time they play five games instead of four, and they travel further than one state and have a back-to-back in this stretch of games also.

It starts out with a relatively easy matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers. However, the Hawks cannot take this one for granted as the Trail Blazers beat them with a skeleton squad last season, minus their incredible backcourt at the time of Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum.

After a night off the Hawks take on the Phoenix Suns in a tremendous backcourt matchup of Chris Paul and Devin Booker against Trae Young and Dejounte Murray. The Hawks will send a message to the rest of the NBA if they take this one.

Then the Hawks take on the Utah Jazz who are rebuilding this season, looking to get as much rest time for their stars before they take on the Denver Nuggets the next night. Then, the Hawks get a rare two-night break before they finish the road trip with a matchup against the potential of the New Orleans Pelicans in a battle of the future as well as the present.
