Atlanta Hawks season question #3) How do we get there?

This is always the hardest question to answer for any basketball team anywhere in the world. Fortunately, the Hawks spend millions of dollars on their coaching staff who are some of the best minds in the business. They have been working on this question since the team was eliminated from the playoff in the first round last season.

The first point of order for this coaching staff is to work on their defensive chemistry, This starts in training camp and will extend through the preseason games. Playing against one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference over in Abu Dhabi will help there.

Not only will this help the players on the court but also give them a chance to bond off the court. This defensive identity will help the Hawks improve their transition offense, hopefully giving them easier buckets.

The other way that they get there is through ball movement. Young and Murray need to work out how they are going to co-exist as they are both used to having the ball in their hands. It feels as though Young is going to play in an off-ball role. How do they get there? By every player sacrificing their game for the greater good of the team.
