4 Possible trade packages for Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young
Eric Gordon, Terance Mann, Bones Hyland, a 2028 first-round pick swap, and a 2029 first-round pick for Trae Young
or
Paul George for Trae Young
Like Miami, the Clippers always find a way to make their name come up in trade rumors. The team is still star-studded and has a lot of bench power and good assets for a big trade.
The first possible trade package would send Eric Gordon, Terance Mann, and Bones Hyland along with picks for Trae. At first glance, it might seem like the Clippers would give up a lot for Young, and that is true to some extent. However, a glance at their roster reveals their deep bench that could still be productive without these guys. Young would start alongside great defenders in Paul George and Kawhi Leonard, and his defensive liabilities would be greatly reduced.
The offense would shine even brighter, as the team’s trio would average at least 70 points per game combined.
Atlanta would get a solid veteran in Gordon, and two young guns looking for something to prove, as both Mann and Hyland showed what they are capable of when given minutes. They might not make noise next season but in the next three beware of this team. The second one is far more simple and more oriented toward winning now rather than later.
George would pair up nicely into the starting 5 and their defense would improve significantly, and open up shots for the other players, while the Clippers would possess a one-two punch of Leonard and Young with amazing offensive potential.
