The Atlanta Hawks will have plenty to think about heading into the offseason. They’ve already undergone a change at the head coaching position along with a reshuffling of the front office. But because of the team’s disappointment this season, that could just be the tip of the iceberg when it comes to changes this summer.

If the Hawks do end up making a big roster move this offseason, it will likely have to come via trade. With limited draft assets, there are a few players that the team could look to move this offseason. As the summer quickly approaches, let’s take a deeper look at the Hawks’ overall trade assets by identifying the most valuable.

11. AJ Griffin

As the 16th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, AJ Griffin did show some promise during his rookie season with the Atlanta Hawks. He finished his rookie season by averaging nine points and two rebounds per game on 47 percent shooting from the field and 39 percent shooting from 3-point range. He appeared in 72 games for the Hawks this season.

Despite an encouraging rookie season, it’s hard to predict what his ceiling could be in the NBA. And that’s the biggest reason why he’s not ranked higher on this list of trade assets for the Hawks heading into the offseason.

If he isn’t moved this offseason, it will be interesting to see what type of role he ends up playing for the Hawks next season. Then, we should get a clearer indication of what his long-term prospects can be in the Association.
