The Atlanta Hawks’ 2023-2024 schedule has been released. Here is everything you need to watch out for during the season:
Opening Night and First Home Game
The season kicks off on the road on October 25, 2023, against the Charlotte Hornets. Two days later, the Hawks come home to face the New York Knicks in the first home game of the season. Atlanta will take on Charlotte four times this season. Opening night on October 25, 2023, February 14, 2024 (both on the road), March 23, 2024, and April 10, 2024 (both at home).
Atlanta will match up with the Knicks three times this season as well. Along with the home opener on October 27, 2023, the Hawks will also face the Knicks at home on November 15, 2023. The third and final matchup between the two teams will be at Madison Square Garden on March 5, 2024.
Hawks National TV Games (not including NBATV)
Atlanta will only have five national TV games if you don’t include the ten NBA TV games the Hawks also have.

Hawks road trips
Starting with a game versus the Washington Wizards on November 25, 2023, the Hawks will play eight road games in a nine-game stretch. This includes the In-Season Tournament game on the road against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Hawks won’t begin their west coast trip until March 13, 2024, when they play five games against teams on the west coast.

Other season highlights
Big man John Collins returns to Atlanta on February 27, 2024, when the Utah Jazz come into town.
The Hawks will have two separate five-game homestands as well as a six-game set. The first home stand begins on January 10, 2024, versus the 76ers and ends on January 17, 2024, versus the Orlando Magic.
Later that month, the Hawks welcome the Dallas Mavericks to Atlanta on January 26, 2024, to start a six-game stretch of home games that ends versus the Clippers on February 5, 2024. The final homestand takes place on March 23, 2024, versus the Hornets and ends on March 30, 2024, as the Hawks take on the Milwaukee Bucks to close out the final five-game homestand.
The Hawks do not play on a major holiday except for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
They do not play on Halloween or Christmas Day. Nor do they play on New Year’s Day. They also don’t play on Christmas Eve, but they do take on the Wizards in Washington on New Year’s Eve.
