The Atlanta Hawks’ roster is chock full of talent.
So much so that it can be easy for some of it to go overlooked, especially with names like Trae Young and Dejounte Murray at the top of the pecking order.
There are some really good basketball players on the Hawks and it’s time they got a little more recognition. This list will lay out and explain why these are some of the most underrated players on the Hawks’ roster.
First up on our list is swingman Bogdan Bogdanovic who is heading into his fourth season with the team after signing with the Hawks as a free agent in 2020. In their three previous seasons together, the Hawks and Bogdanovic are 90-71 and have a run to the Eastern Conference Finals to their credit.

Bogdan Bogdanovic should be in 6MOY running
The only thing that may be holding Bogdanovic back may be his injury history. He’s made no more than 64 appearances in any of the last four seasons as he’s dealt with a knee injury that required surgery last offseason among other ailments as he heads into his age-31 season in the NBA.
Bogdanovic averaged 14.0 points and shot 40.6% on 4.6 attempts from beyond the arc last season.
He also posted the fourth-best on-off rating on the team, per Cleaning The Glass.
The 6-foot-6 swingman is starting a four-year, $68 million contract next season and, finally healthy over an entire offseason, is set to participate in the 2023 FIBA World Cup with his native Serbia as a team captain.
Despite his versatility, capable of working on or off the ball as a starter or bench player, though he says he has a special affinity for playing a key reserve role.
If this isn’t enough, there is a starter who could still break out too.
