The Los Angeles Clippers are on the road for the final time on their trip against the Atlanta Hawks on the second night of a back-to-back.

The Hawks have won four in a row, but they find themselves as underdogs in this game. Given Atlanta’s struggles against the spread, should we turn elsewhere for a best bet in this matchup?

I certainly think that’s a wise move, which is why I’ve put together three different prop bets to consider in this game, including picks for the Hawks’ two star guards.

Let’s break down the selections for this Monday night showdown:

Clippers vs. Hawks best NBA prop bets

  • Dejounte Murray OVER 10.5 rebounds and assists
  • Trae Young OVER 26.5 points
  • James Harden OVER 9.5 assists

Dejounte Murray OVER 10.5 rebounds and assists

This prop has hit in eight straight games for Dejounte Murray and nine of his last 10 games.

Over that stretch, the Hawks guard is averaging 6.9 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game, easily more than 10.5 rebounds and assists.

The Clippers are a tough matchup, as they rank 10th in opponent assists allowed per game and fifth in opponent rebounds, but Murray should be seeing an 11.5 or even 12.5 in this prop.

Bet the number on Monday.

Trae Young OVER 26.5 points

After getting snubbed from the All-Star Game (for now, he could be a replacement), Trae Young has been on a tear.

He’s averaging 30.6 points and 11.4 assists per game over his last five games while shooting 51.0 percent from the field and 54.8 percent from 3.

It’ll be interesting to see who draws the assignment on Young – I’d guess it’ll be Terance Mann – but the Hawks guard has easily cleared this number in four of his last five games.

I’ll go back to the well with Young on Monday night.

James Harden OVER 9.5 assists

This is a great matchup for Clippers guard James Harden, who is averaging 8.5 assists per game this season.

Harden has put up 10 or more assists in five of his last eight games, and now he takes on an Atlanta team that ranks 28th in the NBA in opponent assists per game this season.

A 10-time All-Star, Harden has taken a step back from scoring this season to really become the primary facilitator for the Clippers. That has resulted in him averaging 13.4 potential assists per game.

He should have plenty of chances to rack up assists against a weak Atlanta defense.
