Hornets vs. Hawks NBA expert final score prediction and odds for Wednesday, April 10 (Take the over)
The Atlanta Hawks have come back down to earth following a two-game sweep of the Boston Celtics and a 6-1 stretch overall. The Hawks have dropped their last three games following Tuesday’s six-point double-overtime loss to the Miami Heat. However, Atlanta has already locked down a play-in tournament spot and are massive favorites against the Hornets Wednesday night.
Charlotte put up a fight in Sunday’s loss to Oklahoma City but were run off the floor in Tuesday’s 26-point home loss to the Mavericks. Can they hang inside the big number in Atlanta? Here’s the betting breakdown of the matchup with a best bet.

Hornets vs. Hawks key players to watch
Charlotte Hornets
Miles Bridges: Bridges continues to pour in points in a loss season for the Hornets. Bridges is averaging 21.3 points and 7.4 rebounds per game this season and is coming off a 22-point performance in Tuesday’s loss to Dallas. He had 27 points in his last outing against the Hawks on March 23.
Atlanta Hawks
Dejounte Murray: Murray usage has been absurd with Trae Young sidelined. Murray has attempted 21.3 field goals per game since the beginning of March and shot 41 times in Tuesday’s loss to Miami, finishing with a 29-point, 13-rebound, 13-assist triple-double. Murray has registered double-digit assists in four of the last six games.
Hornets vs. Hawks prediction and pick
In the previous matchup between these two teams, Atlanta seemingly couldn’t miss, going 55.6% from the field and 47.6% from 3-point range (20-of-42) in a 132-91 victory March 23. You could predict more of the same style of game in Wednesday’s tilt against a Charlotte defense that is 29th in net rating, 28th in opposing shooting percentage and 22nd in scoring defense.
Atlanta is just 15-25 ATS at home this season and this is probably not the time to back them in just their fourth game as a double-digit favorite on the year. The Hawks, 15-26 ATS as a favorite, can still use their 11th-ranked offense that plays at a top-5 pace to punish a sub-par Charlotte defense.
The over is 10-2 in Atlanta’s last 12 games and Charlotte’s offense likely won’t shoot as poorly (41.7%) as it did the last time out against the Hawks, which are 28th in the NBA in scoring defense and have not held an opponent under 106 points since beating Charlotte in March.
