Adam: When he was back in Brooklyn spilling drinks for extra timeouts nobody thought Jason Kidd was quite as smart as a coach as he has since proved to be. Describe Kidd’s impact on Milwaukee, what has he changed?
Ti: Well, I think a lot of it had to do with the team.
Kidd runs a unique defense that require a ton of hustle and effort, and in Brooklyn he had an older team that was less likely to jump at the opportunity to, well, jump all the time.
Although he did lead that team on a late run to the playoffs, in Milwaukee the players are younger, and Kidd doesn’t clash with ownership like he did with the Nets. I think the willingness of the players to run his schemes and the cohesion with the organization has helped him settle into a good place with Milwaukee.
