Nets Remind Hawks This Is the Playoffs

The Brooklyn Nets don’t do anything especially well. In reality, they aren’t a very good team. But, they are making this a series and the Atlanta Hawks better figure out why. Not winning “pretty” is acceptable when you are actually wining.

The offense looked completely out of rhythm in game three and in need of some serious resuscitation. Jeff Teague and Kyle Korver, in particular, will look to bounce back from tough games. Korver was a -17 in game three.

You don’t accumulate 60 regular season wins by accident. Through three games, the two teams have played 12 total quarters. Each team has won six of the twelve quarters. That should give you an idea of how bad the Hawks offense is struggling.

Atlanta’s best performance came in game two. The Hawks came storming out the gate, avoided playing from behind, and closed the game with precision. This team needs to get back to it’s roots.

More from Soaring Down South

Game three should have been a wake up call for the Hawks who need to put their foot on the gas like it’s the last race on earth. That’s if they don’t want a repeat of last year.

The Warriors and Cavs both swept their first round opponents with ease. Chicago and Houston are on the verge of closing out there series while the Hawks are letting a team like the Nets give them way to much trouble.

Time for the Atlanta Hawks to deliver the smack down to remind the league who’s running things in the East. Is it still the Atlanta Hawks?
