A report from Scott Howard-Cooper of NBA.com says that speculation exists about the Hawks replacing the Orlando Magic as the NBA affiliate of the D-League’s Erie Bayhawks next season. The Hawks are planning to own and operate a D-League team in College Park starting in 2019-2020. This move would give them a nice stopgap until that actually materializes.
