Report: Atlanta Hawks Looking To Buy At Trade Deadline
According to reports, the Atlanta Hawks are looking to improve their roster at the trade deadline. We think the Hawks should look to upgrade their wing depth or find another point guard to come off the bench. The options are limited and Atlanta would have to trade something significant from their pool of draft picks and young players to land a difference maker. Will they actually make a move or is this speculation premature?

Locked on Hawks podcast: Clippers recap and more
On Locked on Hawks, Brad Rowland recaps the loss to the Clippers, discusses Thabo Sefolosha‘s injury, and talks about the report that the Hawks plan to be active in trade discussions.
Atlanta Hawks valued at $885 million in latest Forbes estimate
At Peachtree Hoops, Rowland looks at a Forbes report that values the Hawks at $885 million. That ranks 23rd in the NBA. Still, the organization made a $19.8 million profit in the last year. With arena renovations coming, and a new D-League team in their future, the franchise is trending in a positive direction.
How the Hawks lost, and could look different after the All-Star break
At the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Chris Vivlamore recaps Atlanta’s loss to the Clippers. He noted their turnover issues and Los Angeles’ three-point shooting as reasons why the margin of victory was so large for the Clippers. He also mentions that the Hawks slipped back to the 5th spot in the Eastern Conference standings with the loss.
Hawks actively looking to add ahead of NBA trade deadline
Vivlamore also reports that the Hawks will look to be very active at the trade deadline. The Hawks will look to improve their roster through trade, rather than beginning a rebuild by moving some of their veteran pieces. A trade isn’t imminent, but things could heat up soon.
