Atlanta Hawks: Possible Deadline Deals
Rocky Robertson makes a few suggestions for the Hawks as the trade deadline approaches. Robertson says the Hawks should make a push for Darren Collison to upgrade the backup point guard spot. Collison would be a great fit, but might be too pricey in terms of assets traded by Atlanta. He also suggests that the Hawks upgrade their bench scoring by acquiring Marreese Speights. Speights would also be a good fit, but it’s unclear whether or not the Clippers would be open to moving him.

Atlanta Hawks: Langston Galloway Would Fit In Bench Role
The Sacramento Kings recently acquired Langston Galloway as part of a package for DeMarcus Cousins. Reports suggest that the Kings are open to trading him and may even waive him. Galloway would be a great fit with the Hawks, bringing scoring and three-point shooting off the bench. If he’s waived, Galloway figures to have several suitors.

Atlanta Hawks attempting to walk tightrope at trade deadline
Also at Peachtree Hoops, Kris Willis analyzes Chris Vivlamore’s report that the Hawks want to get better at the trade deadline without comprising their long-term plans. That is a delicate thing to balance. If the Hawks don’t want to part with significant young assets or draft picks it will be extremely difficult to improve the team at the deadline.
Where the Hawks stand headed into final 26 games of regular season
Chris Vivlamore of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution takes a look at where the Hawks stand as the final stretch of the season approaches. One could argue that the Hawks have overachieved this season. How they finish will be determined by their health, whether or not they make a trade at the deadline, and whether or not their offense improves.
Complete list of Hawks’ upcoming draft picks
Vivlamore also provides a portrait of Atlanta’s upcoming draft picks as we near the trade deadline. Will they move any of these to improve their team in the present?
