The Atlanta Hawks successfully snapped their three game losing streak on Wednesday night. They welcomed the dismal Brooklyn Nets to Philips Arena and came away with a gritty victory. The Nets had a chance to tie in the waning seconds, but the Hawks were able to survive.

A loss to the Nets would have sent the fan-base into complete panic mode. That just comes with the territory for Atlanta sports fans. The overwhelming sense of dread never goes away. There’s always another shoe that’s going to fall. It’s best to push that feeling down and not think about it.
They seem to have successfully put Dennis Schroder‘s controversial benching behind them. Life is good again in Atlanta.
