Which Atlanta Hawks tickets should be your highest priority this season
Tickets for the Atlanta Hawks home games for the 2017-18 season have been announced on sale; here are some of the games that will definitely be worth your money.
Basketball is here ladies and gentlemen, and with it the newly renovated Phillips Arena will host the other 29 teams in the league and fans will get the opportunity to watch the association’s very best in the city of Atlanta. The Atlanta Hawks released the regular season tickets today via Ticketmaseter and fans are rushing to claim their seats.
LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, Kawhi Leonard, James Harden, Kyrie Irving, and more will come to Atlanta to play against the Hawks. With so many options, which ones should you prioritize heading into the season?
Here is my shortlist of games of interest.
Atlanta Hawks vs. Houston Rockets. Friday, November 3rd 7:30pm.
Atlanta Hawks vs. Boston Celtics. Saturday, November 18th 7:30pm.
Atlanta Hawks vs. Cleveland Cavaliers. Thursday, November 30th, 7:30pm.
Atlanta Hawks vs. Chicago Bulls. Saturday, January 20th, 5:00pm.
Atlanta Hawks vs. Minnesota Timberwolves. Monday, January 29th, 7:30pm.
Atlanta Hawks vs. Los Angeles Lakers. Monday, February 26th, 7:30pm.
Atlanta Hawks vs. Golden State Warriors. Friday, March 2nd, 7:30pm.
Atlanta Hawks vs. Oklahoma City Thunder. Tuesday, March 13th, 7:30pm.
Atlanta Hawks vs. Philadelphia 76ers. Tuesday, April 10th, 7:30pm.
Alright so of course the two highlights, the Warriors and the Cavaliers are always a sure bet, but the rest of my shortlist contains teams of interest. The Rockets will attract many pairs of eyes this season as the entire league will wait to see what Harden can cook up with perennial point guard Chris Paul by his side.

The Celtics will also be a must see, with Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward teaming up to make a push for the Finals with Boston. It will still be early in the season, but it will be interesting to dissect the dichotomy of Irving and Hayward’s play and how they integrate together.
The Chicago Bulls? Yeah, why not take a look at the team that the entire nation has projected to finish next the Hawks at the bottom of the Eastern Conference. It will be a great opportunity for Coach Bud to experiment with lineups a little bit and maybe give the young guys a run out.
The Lakers will in front of everyone’s eyes, as rookie Lonzo Ball will have the entire NBA watching to see if he can bring life into this once great franchise. The Hawks should provide a nice test for the youngsters from the golden coast, and the entertainment is sure to be aplenty.
The Thunder, similarly to the Rockets, will gain a lot of intrigue as people will be curious what the team looks like with two superstars anchoring in a tougher than every Western Conference. Russell Westbrook had a nice time by himself last season *cough cough MVP* but now Paul George is there to help him out. Hawks fans should take the opportunity to revel in awe as the two compete against Atlanta’s young core.
And finally, Phillips Arena’s final visitor will be the 76ers. With a whole season under their belt, fans will get to see what the finished product is and how they stack up against the currently rebuilding Hawks. One process versus another; it’s sure to make for an eventful affair.

These may only be 9 of the 41 outings that will be held at Phillips Arena this season, but the hype surrounding them is a great selling factor. The chance to see Dennis Schroder and John Collins match up against the best in the league simply exudes anticipation.
