Taylor’s best games came in back to back games against Houston and Minnesota in late March where he scored 26 and 20.

The game against the Rockets he hit a season-high 3 three-point shots out of six shots, tying his season-high in attempts and setting a season high in makes for him from beyond the arc. This game proved that he does indeed have the ability to shoot the three ball, but needs to get more consistent with it, which could come with more experience and exposure.

Isaiah Taylor played well enough to give himself a chance to be a part of the Atlanta Hawks next year, but after the 2018 draft who knows how crowded Atlanta’s backcourt will be.

With three first round picks, the Hawks will most likely add another ball handler, but Taylor should be first in line to compete for the backup point guard role after outplaying Malcolm Delaney this past season.

If he can improve his three-point shooting and continue to develop as a finisher at the rim, Taylor can be an impact role player off the bench for the Hawks. Even after producing during his opportunities, the young point guard’s future with the team is cloudy with what looks like another offseason full of change for the Atlanta Hawks.

His future with the team will be clearer after the draft happens in May, but for the time being the Hawks have a solid back-up in Isaiah Taylor.
