Jabari Parker

A tantalizing offensive player with latent scoring ability, Jabari Parker will likely not be a member of the Milwaukee Bucks for much longer.

Parker is a former #2 overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, and he also was a 20 point-per-game scorer in the 2016-17 season – though he only played 51 games that season.

The main issue with Parker is how injury-prone he is, as he has only played 183 games out of a possible 328 in his 4-year career. A solid, NBA-ready frame means that Parker should be able to be a strong defender, but the evidence to the contrary is a bit too much to believe that (despite two good games in the NBA playoffs against the Boston Celtics).

If Jabari’s medical report comes back clean, the Hawks should look to add a tantalizing offensive talent, who could be the cornerstone of an offense if he puts in the time and effort required. There is still plenty of untapped upside to Parker’s game, something that playing alongside Trae Young and Kevin Huerter may help unlock.

Zach LaVine

We have already discussed the idea that Zach LaVine would be a good fit on the Hawks as a run-and-gun scoring wing, and his dunking ability would even rival the high-flying antics of John Collins.

Collins was one of the most exciting players on Atlanta last season, and his impressive statistical production led to him being named to the All-Rookie Second Team.

LaVine is a career 14-point-per-game scorer, and he has shown the ability to score at will as well as get to the rim with ease. He has provided multiple classic Dunk Contest moments as well with his gravity-defying slams.

Pairing LaVine with Collins and solid distributors like Trae Young and Kevin Huerter would make for exceedingly entertaining basketball, something the Hawks have lacked for a few seasons.
