#6 – Daniel Hamilton

Our first entrant onto this list is the Atlanta Hawks most recent acquisition at the wing position.

Daniel Hamilton, who played sparingly last season with the Oklahoma City Thunder but had a strong season with the team’s G-League affiliate, will likely receive a decent run as a member of the Hawks’ wing rotation.

Hamilton played a lot for the Oklahoma City Blue, and produced fairly impressive per-game numbers in the G-League: 16 PPG, 9 RPG, 8 APG and 1.1 SPG in over 32 minutes of action per night in 45 games.

While clearly lower on the totem pole in the Hawks’ rotation, Hamilton just turned 23, so there is still room for growth for him as a member of the Atlanta Hawks.

#5 – Alex Poythress

Signed with the Atlanta Hawks final Two-Way contract, Alex Poythress comes in prepared with an NBA-ready body and stellar size at the wing position.

Though he has only played 31 career NBA games, Poythress has a developing three-point shot, and he showed flashes during his time as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers (in 2016-17) and Indiana Pacers (2017-18).

As a Two-Way player, Poythress can only contractually spend a total of 45 days with the Hawks during the 2018-19 season. Last year, Tyler Cavanaugh was the lone Hawk who had his Two-Way contract converted into a guaranteed deal.

Hopefully, Poythress will be able to develop his game in the G-League and play more down the end of the season when Atlanta will likely roll out some more experimental lineups.
