Omari Spellman Will Finish 2nd in Dunks (Behind Only John Collins)

Another one of Spellman’s impressive skills in Summer League was his nose for the basketball and preternatural ability to dunk the living daylights out of the ball.

Spellman showcased a natural, fluid athleticism and impressive bounce in a big man’s frame and he pummeled some immense dunks during the lackadaisically defended Summer League minutes.

Still though, even with a locked-in defender draped over him, Spellman has the size, strength and craft to be able bludgeon his way into the lane, leap up and smash down a jam on somebody’s dome.

In transition as well, Spellman showed a knack for getting out and running – leading to multiple fast break and runaway slams.

Because of all that ability, it seems likely that Spellman will lag behind only Atlanta Hawks dunking expert John Collins in total dunks in 2018-19. Though Alex Len and Dewayne Dedmon will certainly challenge Spellman, it seems more likely that those two vets play less minutes that Spellman – especially when the calendar rolls into early 2019 and all sights are set on ping-pong balls.

Let’s take a look at the next bold prediction for Omari Spellman in 2018-19.
