Trae Young

Trae Young absolutely dominated college basketball headlines for a few months to start the season, though he cooled off down the end of the year — dragging a wilting Oklahoma team to a first-round exit in the NCAA Tournament.

Almost no player came in with the same level of hype from some, as well as the same level of disdain from others, than Young did during the 2018 pre-draft process.

Atlanta Hawks General Manager Travis Schlenk’s decision to trade Luka Doncic for Young only compounds the idea that Ice Trae will have a lot of pressure on him from the get-go – in his rookie season and throughout the rest of his career.

However, there is one thing that all NBA fans can agree on (except for contrarians): Trae Young will be a lot of fun to watch in 2018-19.

For one thing, Trae’s amazing passing vision and ability to make seemingly impossible skip passes and hit-aheads already make him an upgrade at the point guard position from last year’s Atlanta Hawks team. Combine that with his wild long-distance range from three-point land and you have the makings of one of the most exciting players in recent Atlanta Hawks history.

That is, of course, other than the #1 player on this list.
