This one would help fill two positions of need for the 76ers while, once again, allowing the Hawks to get a look at Fultz without having to worry too much about the $10 million he’s owed next season.

Both Jeremy Lin and Dewayne Dedmon would provide the 76ers with above-average to sterling play off the bench, as both have provided near-starting level play for the Hawks for much of the season. To his credit, Dedmon has been producing some of the best defensive effort all season for Atlanta – something that will be sorely needed when Embiid is on the bench.

In that same vein, Jeremy Lin is playing extremely well coming back from the frightful ruptured patellar tendon he suffered with the Nets last season. For a while, Lin was flirting with a 50/40/90 line, and though he has cooled off recently, he would still provide the 76ers with the mistake-free play of a 9-year veteran as well as a punchy and intelligent offensive operator in the pick-and-roll.

A good defender and solid shooter, Lin would offer a three-and-D skill set at the point guard position, which would be a welcome change from the scrappy joys of Process-era favorite T.J. McConnell.

Multiple different iterations of this deal would also work, as Lin is a near-perfect salary match for Chandler and Fultz is a near-perfect match for Dedmon. The optics of swapping Fultz straight-up for Dedmon are dangerously appalling for the Sixers though, so that likely won’t happen.

Indeed, moving Fultz before he gets back from injury might be a stretch in general. Let’s explore one last deal that doesn’t include the disgruntled guard.
