Shareef Abdur-Rahim had a short stint with the Atlanta Hawks as another NBA journeyman, but he still holds some memorable performances with them. Abdur-Rahim spent three seasons with the Hawks as one of the best offensive threats in the halfcourt.

Versatility was his biggest asset at 6-foot-9 and 225-pounds. He wasn’t the biggest 3-point shooter but when given the green light, he had the ability to fill it up at an efficient rate inside the arc.

He is one of only seven players in Hawks history to score 50 points or more in a regular season game. His career-high 50 points came during the 2001-02 season against the Detroit Pistons. Abdur-Rahim went 21-of-30 from the field with no 3-point attempts in a 106-99 victory on Nov. 23, 2001.

In his time with the Hawks, he’s produced one game with 50 points or more, two games with 40 points or more and 19 games with 30 points or more. He made the only All-Star appearance of his career with Atlanta during the 2001-02 campaign.

He produced 21.2 points per game on 46.1 percent shooting from the field during that year. Through three seasons with the Atlanta Hawks, he averaged 20.4 points per game on 47.3 percent shooting from the floor. He still managed to shoot 30.7 percent (47-of-153) from 3-point land.

Abdur-Rahim was another one of those players that saw their career cut short due to a trade. He was moved to the Portland Trail Blazers alongside Dan Dickau and Thero Ratliff for Wesley Person and Rasheed Wallace prior to the NBA Trade Deadline in February 2004.
