A primer on members of the Atlanta Hawks roster that will be free agents this offseason.

After a rather dull and insipid 2017-18 season, the Atlanta Hawks roared back to life with a terrifically interesting 2018-19 campaign, which featured the continued improvement of John Collins, DeAndre’ Bembry and others as well as the addition of scintillating rookies Trae Young, Kevin Huerter and Omari Spellman.

After finishing with a dispiriting 24-58 record last season, the Atlanta Hawks were one unfouled three-point shooter away on the last game of the season from finishing with a 30-52 record.

Instead, the team ended the year with a record of 29-53 – a five-game improvement from the season prior.

According to Cleaning the Glass, that was a win increase of 4.6 according to the team’s 26th-rated point differential of -6.8.

That “luckiness” shows that Hawks Head Coach Lloyd Pierce had a terrific first season, which was buoyed by the modern offensive system that he immediately put into place upon taking the head job.

With the end of a season (and the lack of a postseason berth) comes the inevitable thoughts of how the Atlanta Hawks can improve – via trades, the NBA Draft or via free agency.

Before looking outside of the team’s roster, however, what players on the Atlanta Hawks are free agents themselves this year? Read on to find out.
