With much fanfare and buildup, the NBA released schedules for all teams on Monday afternoon including the full 82-game slate for the Atlanta Hawks.
Here is the full Atlanta Hawks 2019-20 schedule below.
Right off the bat, the Atlanta Hawks are scheduled to have two games on national TV. Both will be on TNT against the Miami Heat.
The team starts the season on Tuesday, November 5 against the San Antonio Spurs, which is the start of a three-game homestand at State Farm Arena against the Spurs, Chicago Bulls and Sacramento Kings to begin the season.
That November 8 game against the Kings represents Dewayne Dedmon’s return to Atlanta after two terrific seasons as a member of the Hawks before signing a lucrative deal this offseason to take his stretch five talents to the up-and-coming Kings.
One game later, on Sunday, February 10, the Hawks play their first road game of the season against the Portland Trail Blazers. This will mark the first time that Kent Bazemore will play against the team he has been with for the past five seasons – who was the lone holdover from the 60-win team of 2014-15. New Hawk Evan Turner will also play against his old squad in that contest.
One thing is clear when taking a look at other schedules around the league: Zionmania has already arrived in the NBA. The Pelicans will play a whopping 30 games on national TV, which represents a franchise-high.
For the Atlanta Hawks, #4 overall pick De’Andre Hunter will not be able to face off against his ACC foe Zion until Monday, March 16 in New Orleans and Tuesday March 31 in Atlanta.
However, Hunter will be able to duke it out with NCAA Title Game foe Jarrett Culver in Atlanta on Monday, November 25. Perhaps Hunter will shut down Culver much as he did in the title game.
There will be much more coverage of the Atlanta Hawks schedule for the 2019-20 season, so keep it locked to Soaring Down South for plenty more updates.
