1. Rookie Roundup

Coming of one of his best career nights, De’Andre Hunter was very bad offensively tonight, failing to make a basket on eight attempts, turning the ball over three times as well. Hunter has shot just 38.8 percent from the field in the month of February.

The Virginia product was good defensively and on the boards, grabbing 11 rebounds and out-playing most of his teammates on D.

Still, two points in 35 minutes is disappointing, and Hunter can just not seem to string together a few good games.

Cam Reddish played 31 points off the bench, adding 14 points on 10 shots. He also played good defensive, particularity in the first quarter, finishing with a plus/minus of -1, second best on the team. Reddish has been a  pretty consistent a 12-14 point per game scorer who plays good to great defense. Tonight was his baseline: a solid performance on both sides.

The Hawks’ other rookie is Bruno Fernando, who got the start tonight with Dewayne Dedmon hurt. He played fairly well, and has now recorded back-to-back double-digit point games for the first time in his career.

Against the Magic he scored ten on 5-7 shooting, adding nine rebounds in 21 minutes. Fernando seems to be playing himself into a role in the rotation when Clint Capela and Skal Labissière return from injury.
