Picking the three best games Atlanta Hawks guard Kevin Huerter played this year.

After a more than solid rookie campaign, Atlanta Hawks fans were eager to see what Kevin Huerter would do in his second season. The 19th pick of the 2018 NBA Draft never quite found his footing, however, and played below expectations.

Granted, Huerter did deal with injuries, missing 11 games in November shortly after recovering from an off-season injury that limited him to a bench role early on. This all comes after playing 75 games as a rookie.

While on the court, Huerter has struggled with consistency and tended to disappear in a handful of games. His numbers didn’t get a significant boost despite having a larger role, and in fact, his shooting percentages from the field (41) and three (38) are both identical to his rookie season clips.

Perhaps it’s because there was a minimal improvement from his rookie season, but many have touted this a disappointing campaign for Huerter. He was solid as a rookie right away, but fans expected improvement, and while it’s still very early, it could be seen as Huerter already hitting his ceiling in the league.

That’s a discussion for a different day, and here we’ll be looking at it in a more positive light. Specifically, the three best games that he’s played this season. Let’s get started.
