The Atlanta Hawks injury report keeps shrinking as the season goes on
The Atlanta Hawks have struggled with injury all season. Two of their players have yet to take the court yet but the situation is improving.
For the first time of the season, the Atlanta Hawks put their injury report on Twitter and it only required a single tweet. It seems that every time they sent the tweet out they had a list of three or four players who were probable or questionable and another three or four players who were out.
Well, things have gotten better for the Hawks in regards to the number of injuries they are suffering at the moment. For the record, Rajon Rondo is listed as questionable and Kris Dunn, Danilo Gallinari, and Bogdan Bogdanovic are all out for the Utah Jazz game.
Even before the canceled Phoenix Suns game, the injury report had Clint Capela as questionable with a hand injury and Onyeka Okongwu as probable with a toe injury. This was on top of the other players listed above.
The Atlanta Hawks are still easing player back into the rotation

With the exception of Clint Capela, don’t expect coach Lloyd Pierce to rush any players back into heavy minutes. We had our first Tony Snell sighting of the season against the Philadelphia 76ers and that was after the game was well and truly in the bag for the Hawks.
Likewise, rookie Okongwu, unless the Hawks are being dominated on the boards, will not get into the playing time he will likely get later in the season. Currently, the Hawks have a good rotation going and will integrate the others as the situation allows.
This is a smart move in a season where so much is up in the air. Teams don’t know from one day to the next whether they will be playing or if their games will be canceled. As a result, there is no point rushing a player back in, risking a season or career-threatening injury when nothing is guaranteed.
