The Atlanta Hawks have been strong since just before the All-Star break. This period of strength has aligned with the removal of Lloyd Pierce as head coach and Nate McMillan taking over as the interim man. McMillan has had a good run of luck but he has the team playing the right way.
Bogdan Bogdanovic has been a huge part of this run since he came back before the All-Star break. He has been instrumental in the Hawks having one of the best benches’ in the NBA. While his shooting may be off still, his playmaking and floor spacing which is what the Hawks have been missing when Trae Young is off the floor.
He is a crucial part of the second unit for the Hawks, which has the shooting of Danilo Gallinari playing alongside him. When De’Andre Hunter gets back his starting role, the Hawks will also have Tony Snell who can be deployed as a 3-and-D player, who is leading the NBA in 3-point percentage.
This will get Bogdanovic even more room to shoot meaning that he will get his numbers back up. With the passing talent of Rajon Rondo running this squad, they become even more dangerous.
Why the Atlanta Hawks should not trade Bogdan Bogdanovic to the Golden State Warriors.

Bogdanovic is a long-term prospect for the Hawks. he signed a four-year/72 million dollar deal in the offseason, and is certainly worth the money. Bogdanovic’s production and shooting have been sub-par for him, but a lot of that has to do with circumstances. The Golden State Warriors are aware of this and this is why they are interested in him
Bogdanovic only played nine games before his freak injury where he fractured his knee cap mid-court. He was showing some good signs of fitting in with the team before this happened. This is a common theme amongst new players on many teams due to the lack of pre-season.
However, since he has come back, Bogdanovic has shown that his presence on the court is opening up space for the second unit, and, with the exception of the LA Clippers game, they have been cashing in. Since he has come back the Hawks have an 8-1 record.
The Hawks are also looking at surrounding their superstar point guard Trae Young with as much talent as they can to help him lead the team to the playoffs and hopefully greater glory. For a franchise that locked in so much talent long-term this offseason, giving up on Bogdanovic this early would be a mistake.
