The Atlanta Hawks select Tre Mann in the latest mock draft
The Atlanta Hawks are moving up the standings and this has the impact of them moving down the draft order. However, due to the depth of this draft, that is not as much of an issue this season. The Hawks have few needs this coming offseason but should be able to address one with their first-round draft pick.
Currently, according to Bleacher Report writer Jonathan Wasserman, the Hawks will be waiting until pick 20 before making their selection. With that pick, Wasserman suggests that they should take Tre Mann, the sophomore combo guard out of Florida State.
This is a much better fit for the Hawks than his previous mock draft selection where he put forward James Bouknight as the player for the Hawks. Given his lack of ability to space the floor, this seemed like a strange player for the Hawks to select in the first round.
The Atlanta Hawks would do well to pick up Tre Mann.

The Hawks have been a different outfit since they traded Rajon Rondo for Lou Williams. The shot-making of Williams and his play with the second unit, particularly in the pick and roll with Onyeka Okongwu has changed the fortunes of the team.
Even if the Hawks manage to sign Williams again next season, they need to start planning for the future and this is when Mann comes in. Standing 6’5″ Mann is a good size to play both guard positions. As a sophomore, he averaged 16.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.4 steals as a starter.
His efficiency last season was sensational. He went 45.9 percent from the floor, 40.2 percent from deep, and 83.1 percent from the floor. The question about Mann is that he is not really a lead guard at the NBA level. This is not a problem as the Hawks already have one of the best starting point guards in the world, Trae Young.
If Williams re-signs then Mann will have one of the best sixth men to ever play the game who happens to play the same position as a mentor. If Williams decides to go elsewhere, Mann will then step into the bench role currently occupied by the veteran. This would be a good selection for the Hawks
