Nearly four months after ankle surgery, Kris Dunn is not far off making his debut for the Atlanta Hawks. In the latest injury report released by the Hawks, Dunn has been upgraded from out to doubtful. In the same report, Clint Capela has been upgraded to questionable.

This means that the Hawks have only De’Andre Hunter, Cam Reddish, Tony Snell, and Trae Young listed as out. While this list could be a big part of most starting lineups in the NBA, the Hawks have always found a way to win.

However, the fact that Dunn is has been upgraded means that he is so close to returning to game action. This is great news for the Hawks for they are bout to get a future All-Defensive player into their lineup, who will surely form a tremendous understanding with the Hawks defensive leader, Capela.

The Atlanta Hawks are getting their players back at the right time.

John Collins recently came back from his ankle injury, Danilo Gallinari made his comeback from his latest ankle injury against the Miami Heat. Capela is also not far off coming back after he took that hard fall in the loss against the New York Knicks.

On top of that, Cam Reddish and De’Andre Hunter are progressing well in their recoveries which bodes well for the Hawks’ playoff chances. The best news of all was that franchise point guard, Trae Young, suffered only a grade two ankle sprain and will not miss significant time.

When the Hawks get their full team back on the court, they are going to be very difficult to beat. They are unselfish, have good offense sets, the players who can execute the plays, and they work for each other on defense. They are coached extremely well by Nate McMillan.
