The Atlanta Hawks are struggling to get some of their players back on the court. They had De’Andre Hunter back for two games but have lost his to the knee injury again. Trae Young will be back at some point in April, as will Brandon Goodwin, Kevin Huerter, and Tony Snell.

However, there is a question mark hanging over the health of Cam Reddish. It is distinctly possible that his Achillies’ injury may keep him out for the whole season. If this is the case then the Hawks are certainly doing the right thing for Reddish as if he plays and snaps it, he may not come back next season.

The problem is that Reddish is one of the better defenders for the Hawks, having the ability to play multiple positions on both ends of the court. Covering him has been difficult but the Hawks have managed to do it, especially with Nate McMillan as the coach.

How the Atlanta Hawks can continue to cover Cam Reddish

The Hawks are continuing to rely on Bogdan Bogdanovic to cover the loss of so many players in the backcourt. He is running the point with Trae Young out but Is also defending the shooting guard. He is doing a tremendous job on both ends of the floor.

The second player who is going to need to step up is Kris Dunn. He has just returned from ankle surgery but has shown that he has lost nothing on defense. He can defend multiple positions as well which is crucial for the Hawks to try and qualify directly for the playoffs.

The last player who needs to continue to play at a high level is Solomon Hill. The small forward has done it all for the Hawks this season and will continue to defend at a high level. His 3-point shooting has been a little off but Hill will continue to shoot the ball.
