The Atlanta Hawks are coming back to full strength after one of the most difficult injury periods for any team this season. This month the Hawks have missed John Collins, Tony Snell, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Trae Young, Brandon Goodwin, Clint Capela, Kevin Huerter, Cam Reddish, De’Andre Hunter, and Lou Williams.

Not all of them have been long term but they have all missed time and this has had a huge impact on the Hawks. When the starting backcourt against the Philadelphia 76ers was Goodwin and Williams, you know the Hawks were in trouble. I love these guys, but they are down the list when it comes to starters.

Fortunately, there has been some light at the end of the injury tunnel. Collins came back from his ankle sprain a few games ago, then Young, Snell, and Goodwin all returned against the 76ers in the second game.

In the latest injury report sent out by the Hawks, they have updated Huerter and Bogdanovic to questionable. This is tremendous news for the team as Bogdanovic has been close to their best player since Nate McMillan took over just prior to the All-Star break.

Bogdanovic has become crucial to the success of the Hawks given the role that he is playing for the team. He makes the rest of the team better because of the pressure he takes off Young by being able to take some of the playmaking duties. This means that Young is rarely double-teamed when the Serbian sensation is on the court.

Huerter has been one of the spare parts men for the Hawks all season. He also takes some of the playmaking responsibilities, shooting the ball well from deep, rebounding the ball and his on-ball defense has been amazing.

This leaves Hunter and Reddish as the only players who are listed as out. Both of these players have progressed to on-court activities. Their status will be updated soon. This could mean the Hawks have a full roster to go into the playoffs. This will be the first time for the entire season if that happens.
