Atlanta Hawks: De’Andre Hunter is a game-time decision
The Atlanta Hawks are getting healthy at the right time of the season. They had a horror month in April where John Collins, Trae Young, Clint Capela, Danilo Gallinari, Tony Snell, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Kevin Huerter, Brandon Goodwin, and Lou Williams all spent time on the injury list
This is on top of the long-term injuries sustained by Cam Reddish and De’Andre Hunter. Unfortunately, there is no good news for Reddish, the medical staff are still managing his leg issue and there is still no official timetable for his return.
However, Hunter has been upgraded from out to questionable. This is a significant upgrade from earlier in the week when he was also listed as out. This is tremendous news for the Hawks who could be without Tony Snell due to Achilles soreness, he is also listed as questionable.

While it is not a guarantee that Hunter will return for the first Washington Wizards game, it has been noted that he could be a game-time decision. This means that coach Nate McMillan will bring Hunter in off the bench.
He will probably on heavy minutes restrictions but his return will lift the rest of the Haws squad to new heights. Hunter, according to Bogdanovic, was the Hawks’ best player at the start of the season. Yes Young was incredible but Hunter took such a leap in the offseason that he was so good on both ends of the floor, Young has traditionally struggled on defense.
Hunter, if his injury allows him to stay on the court has four games to get himself back into the Hawks systems which have been adjusted by coach Nate McMillan. We will get to see Hunter go out with a clear role and how well he executes it.
If the Hawks manage to qualify for the playoffs directly, Hunter can then rest his knee again, making sure he is ready to go in the first round where he should be starting again.
