Atlanta Hawks takeaway No.1) Danilo Gallinari did shoot the 3-ball well

In the first game of the series, Gallinari went 1-of-7 from deep, which was only good for 14.3 percent. Fortunately, Bogdan Bogdanovic, John Collins, and Lou Williams were able to help Trae Young take the game for the Hawks.

Unfortunately for the Hawks, Gallinari went 2-of-9 from deep which was only good for 22.2 percent. This was not helped by the fact that Bogdanovic was inefficient from deep, going 2-of-13 from deep on his way to 18 points.

The problem for the Hawks is that Gallinari has only played in one playoff series where his shooting from deep was at his regular-season level. This was back in the 2011 playoffs when he was a member of the Denver Nuggets.

In the next three playoff series he has played, Gallinari has not shot the ball at above 32.4 percent in an entire series. In this series, he is going at an appalling 18.8 percent. Gallinari has been a key piece on most teams that he has played on in playoffs so this has been a reason he has never made it out of the first round.

The Hawks need him to improve his shooting if they are going to advance.
