Thanks to the recent injury report released by the Atlanta Hawks, there is the possibility of both De’Andre Hunter and Cam Reddish missing more time As a result the rest of the team has needed to step up in their absence.

Reddish has been out of the lineup for more than three months and the Hawks have been able to cover his loss most of the time. It was not an easy task given the depth of the injury issues suffered by the team. However, they have managed Reddish’s injury in a responsible manner.

The problem of Reddish being out was compounded by the loss of Hunter to a knee injury during the regular season. Under the leadership of Nate McMillan, the Hawks managed to weather the storm of these two being out but it was not easy.

The Atlanta Hawks have been building back to full health all season.

The Hawks have had two periods where they were in a lot of trouble with injury. This was prior to McMillan taking over and then during the time towards the end of the season when they had a three-game road trip, including the two heavy losses against the Philadelphia 76ers.

The way the Hawks have worked all season is the next-man-up mentality. They have had a belief in their coach, his systems, and also, most importantly themselves. They have been playing playoff-type games for months now, players have been stepping up over and over again.

They need to keep this up all the way to the end of the season. Here are three players who need to step up in the continued absence of Hunter and Reddish.
