Reddish is in the second year of his rookie-scale deal. He earned $4.4 million last season which was lucky for the Hawks as Reddish was out for most of the season. The Hawks exercised Reddish’s 2021-22 team option back at the start of the 2020-21 season.
He has two more seasons left on his deal. He is going to earn $4.6 million next season and then his final year of this deal is a team option worth $5.9 million. Given the level of his defense already and his potential upside on offense, all that Reddish has to do is stay healthy and he will improve.
Contract grade: C+ due to injury this season
Season grade
It is always really difficult to grade a season where the player is injured for a large portion of it. However, Reddish showed us enough in his 26 games for a grade to be given. He had some big games but none of these results in a Hawks win.
The problem for Reddish is that his show was off and this actually cost him his starting job early in the season. Bogdan Bogdanovic took over the role but fractured his knee which gave the spot back to Reddish.
Season grade: C+ again due to injury
