Atlanta Hawks offseason improvement for Bogdan Bogdanovic No.3) Staying healthy

More from Soaring Down South

Bogdanovic only played in 44 games this past season as well as dealing with a knee issue in the playoffs. He has to stay healthy for the Hawks if they want to take that next step to the finals. Bogdanovic has emerged as one of the most lethal shooters in the entire league.

When the Hawks’ offense hit its stride at times last year it was because of his scoring, or more specifically his shooting. The Hawks are able to really blow games wide open when Bogdanovic was hot.

The season this year will be 82 games with the normal rest days expected during a season of that length. The Hawks would like to see Bogdanovic play at least 70 games or more this year. He’s done it twice in his four-year career so far in the NBA.

Before the All-Star break, Bogdanovic only played in 11 games thanks to his fractured knee. In this time he averaged 9.4 points and shot the ball at 34 percent from beyond the arc. After the break, he averaged 18.7 points a game and shot 46.2 percent from behind the long line. When he is healthy and playing with confidence you see what can happen.

He has put himself into the conversation as one of the top shooting guards in all the NBA. It will be exciting to see what he does in his encore season with the Hawks.
