This torrid stretch starts just after the All-Star break where the Hawks have to travel to Chicago to take on the Bulls. Then, after a single game at home against the Toronto Raptors, they embark on a four-game road trip, this time it is in the Eastern Conference.
While the majority of the teams they face will not be at the top of the standings next season, the Boston Celtics, Washington Wizards, and Detroit Pistons are all going to play hard next season and could be dangerous games. The final game of this trip is against the Bucks.
The Hawks then have three games at home with the first being against the Clippers. The next two games are back to back with the first one being against the Indiana Pacers and then the next night the Hawks host the dangerous Portland Trail Blazers.
The final game of this difficult part of the schedule is against the Charlotte Hornets. This is another dangerous game for the Hawks as the Hornets seemed to have the advantage last season with them winning the season series. If the Hawks can get through these three tough stretches with more wins than losses then they have a good chance at home-court seeding.
