If Hill is able to stay switched on at the offensive end of the court and take more shots inside, the averaging 2.0 assists per game should not be an issue. This just means that he would be able to find open teammates who are in better positions to score.
There were a number of times that Hill would pull up and shoot early in the shot clock, especially in transition. This is a low percentage shot most of the time unless you are one of the top-end shooters in the league, which Hill is not.
If he was to start looking for teammates in the open court then the Hawks would get some more of the easy buckets in transition that teams covet. Not only that, if Hill was to pass more in transition then he would also put doubt in the mind of the defense.
Hill has averaged 2.0 assists or more per game twice in his career. He also has averaged 1.8 assists per game three times n his career. It is not hard to see him doing so again next season, given the Hawks move the ball.
